Default Turbo 2000 oil leak

Hi all,
Newbie Here ....lol
I have a major oil leak just under the turbo.
Can the gasket leak for the oil return to sump pipe ...Is it common ?
And is it a turbo off job ...?
Any advise would be great .

Welcome to the site

If its leaking from under the turbo it could be the oil return pipe like you said. Its only held on at each end by clamp clips and they can come loose quite easily when your changing the turbo. If you dont get it bang on it can bend or twist the rubber pipe. May just be that the pipe has split. Unfortunately its quite an akward pipe to get to to check it. The downpipe, bellhousing and lower subframe keep it well hidden.

Can you get us a pic of it?

Unfortunately I cant get a pic ...
I've actually had the car on ramps and it looks like the rubber hose has been replaced and has new clips on.
But the hose/pipe is soaking wet and the two bolts that hold the pipe to the turbo ....?
Lol I've only had the car 2 days ....The guy I brought it from said he removed the turbo when he replaced the clutch to replace the pipe ..
I know he's telling the truth because he showed me pics.
It is quite a bad oil leak ...
