I have been getting confused about what type of fuel to use in my WRX the dealer says unleaded but ive read that super is much better can anyone explain whats best and why?
I have a 95 WRX if this helps..

 

Always use super unleaded your car is set up to run on 100 ron fuel in Japan . The best here is 97 . graham 95 wrx.

 

When I first got my 95WRX I ran it on a couple of tanks of unleaded but then decided to try super and it made a major difference, alot smoother. As Graham says, Japan has higher octaine and the car is tuned to run on that so I suppose we should probably be running our cars on super plus octaine booster. I haven't tried any octaine boosters yet but it is something I'm definately going to give a go.

 

Dont use UL only SUL and if you can afford it put in octane booster aswell.
I use millers with SUL and my car runs really smooth with no detonation problems.
Its not a lot for piece of mind
