No idea but I need a fog light button and the blanking button! lol sorry been looking on every thread for them.

Seems to be good demand for parts so I would guess you would get a few grand for bits + good money for the upgrades

Sadly the most important but has been damaged.

The bonnet, bumper headlights and wings will bring 1500-2000.

The rest of the car is wrx stuff. Most people want the Sti engine and box. So your not really guna make loads of money

Oem parts have value as people like to stick to them but likes its been said most are over sti parts or aftermaket (decent brands) parts. How much have they offered it back to you for?

I don't want to put a dampener on your idea, this is constructive 'food for thought'.

IMO you'd need to:

* catalogue all the parts that could be offered for sale;
* categorise their condition eg. mint, good, fair;
* do some research to see what prices are being asked for items in their condition;
* work out roughly how long it would take to sell each item.

At least you'd have a good idea of a realistic overall value.

Then of course you'd have to consider:

* storage;
* disposal of the remains eg. shell;
* time likely to be spent dealing with enquiries;
* logistics involved in a sale - payment, packing, arranging delivery etc.

All that being said I'd have thought it would be worthwhile.
Short engine, turbo, gearbox and wheels/tyres would (more than) cover a reasonable cost of buying it back I'd have thought.

(Apols if you've already thought of this).

not buying it back the claim was all cancelled and the car was returned so im left with it to break for parts or sell complete.

how much would a 2.5 turbo engine be worth 45k miles with fsh on it?
gearbox with an uprated clutch?
suspension with tein springs?
full stainless exhaust system?
turbo td04?
ecutek mapped ecu?
full mint interior?
bootlid smoothed with jdm lip mint?
the likes of doors etc?

Claim cancelled? how did that happen?

Under those circumstances you may as well break it as it will never be worth what an un damaged one is worth and the popular bit is busted, only other cheaper option is to put a blob front end on it, but that's still going to cost a fair few quid.

Selling as is would probably only see a grand or so, so you may as well get stripping it and stop wasting time on this thread.

I'd think you'll make at least £3k but it will take a while, sell your fancy bits on here and stick the rest on ebay.

As for pricing you'll just have to look around to see what things are going for, the way I did it was just to make my stuff that bit cheaper than everyone else's that way it goes.

It's a bit easier if you haven't got to cover costs such as buying it back.
And (without being patronising) IMO you've started the right way.

I think there was a thread on here recently (the unfortunate catastrophe during remapping) where a 2.5 engine from one member was sold to another at a decent price, so that will give you a good idea.

5 or 6-speed box? - 6-speed are quite pricey (£1,500 I think I heard someone say today??)

EcuTek ECU is on a current thread - one from a blob went for £100.

A search for used TD04s brought up about £100 on Ebay.

The shell would probably get what - £50-ish - in a scrap metal place.

I'd suggest that you google all the part you've listed ( btw what aboput wheels and tyres?) to see what they've been selling for.

I agree with ditchy - it certainly seems like you'll get £3k at least

Good luck with it all.
