Revolution Subaru
Saw the revolution scooby at NBO and I really wish I hadn't ! Really ruined it for me, I liked the car before hand and having seen it in the flesh it's was a big let down. It really looked tired in my mind and not even close to its asking price.
im sort of with you on this one.
im pretty sure the battleship grey paintjob doesn't help but I struggle to see 70k's worth.
that said it did achieve a great lap time around the ring.
the interior is an interesting effort, the dash does look good but the thing I didn't like was the rear door cards are still intact even though its been converted to a two door
but you have to give them credit for trying to create something different and then proving it in the track which is after all whats its designed for.

Have to admit I don't like the interior, looks like they've gone over the top with the flocking.. I'm not actually keen on the 3 door conversion either, just doesn't look great. Just preference though.
Credit where credits due its different and is a quick car around the ring. But i'm not sure about the 70k pricetag!

Problem is its a 4dr with the back doors welded shut.
It's not a true 2door so the proportions are wrong.
Ideally the front door should of been lengthened and the quarter made smaller.
But there's not many people who would do that.

Jake it just looked very poorly done - even the paint looked badly done and sic a horrid colour ! I wanted to like it so much

Notice the wing has been removed for road use
( I personally like the paint - it's different
& as its a factory Lamborghini. Colour , I doubt it's cheap either )
Saying all this , it's was a good show with lots of variety
Good or bad - make of it what you will
It's a massive job, and then you get in the realms of custom door card, custom glass fabrication etc and that's where the money piles up
The colour for reference is just a bog standard pearl no difference in cost to o2c blue or any other Subaru colour.

Funny coz myself and my mate said the same thing. Looked amazing in magazines but a bit of a let down in the flesh when it came to the overall finish of the car.
£70k is a big asking price for that.
Regards the 2 door conversion, I actually really liked the look it gave. As said it could have been better (and more costly!) with B pillar moved back etc, but I still really liked the look.
Oh well I guess they do say you should never meet your heroes
ha

Moving the pillars back 9" sounds like a proper big job but at 70k wouldn't you expect that ? I didn't realise it was basically a 4 door with the rears welded shut !
I think it was a poor effort by revolution at the NBO - the car was dirty and just PLONKED in the field and there shop stand thing was rubbish - looked like it was thrown together, just like the car and very in professional. They really let themselves the show down.
Maybe if the car was clean - they made a bit of an effort it would of seamed different but as it was it was a big let down

paints paint to an extent, the grey just has standard tinters in it,
you get other colours which use xirrillic tinters like some vw/audi colours,
then you get the lambo greens, focus greens etc that are 3 stage pearls

They're still trading IIRC. I think this car was an SWB version by cutting away a whole section of car from behind the B Pillar rather than moving the B Pillar and extending the doors.
The company that folded was RC Developments.

That's the one, and sounds about right in terms if the companies you mention - I had a rough idea just needed some promoting. But having seen it again, that Evo was better done than the revolution scooby. Initially I was quite excited by the concept, and it had some greatods, but I'd never spend £70k on an Impreza
