Default headlight bulbs!!

Need a new H1 headlight bulb, the ones in it where the 55w xenon look white bulbs, which gave good amount of light. just wondering what brand others are using and where you got them from. Cheers

I have a set of angel eyes and for dipped beam i use osram silver stars witch are fairly good and full beam i use osram nightbreaker plus gold edition witch are phenomanal , can upload pics if you would like to see , all in to do all the bulbs in the headlights including all 6 day time running lights and both angel eyes plus dipped beam full beam and side light cost me £60 ,ebay have the night breaker plus just now but they are limited edition and are £30 for 2 but well worth it. I give them a 9/10 would be a 10/10 but life expectancy is a little less than a standard bulb so let down on that but it really is like driving in daylight lol hope this helps. Regards
Jordan.

Another +1 for Osram Nightbreakers, cracking bulbs, good spread of white light and not that expensive either. Got them fitted in my classic and it's nice being able to see where you're going round the lanes for a change

Not really any better than stuff like Osram at twice the price or more.

They are pretty good, but have been out for over 18 months now, and have been superseded by more powerful ones.
The Ring ones are 120% uprated.

Bought my set 2nd hand but brand new as they didn't fit the car they were purchased for as it had Hid's, £30 delivered to my door and way better light than the halfords lot.

You've had Halfords Ultra Brilliance? Nightbreakers? Philips Ultra Vision? Ring 120% uprated?

You must use a LOT of headlight bulbs

I've used them in every subaru ive owned, never had a problem yet. Dont get me wrong, I dont for one minute think they are as good as the £40 halfords ones but for a fiver they are great. Nice white light and very bright.
They do say for off road use only as they are 100w but I've never had any probs and they certainly dont dazzle if your lights are setup correctly.

Lad in work was drivin his car at night the other day when a bulb went out, went and bought a new one, came to fit it and hey presto- a melted connection due to the 100w bulbs the previous owner had fitted. just some info on the higher wattage bulbs, becomes more clear when you see it for yourself
