Hello
Was chatting to one of my mates and he asked if I had ever though of twin charging ie supercharging and turbocharging is it even possible ? He said it would help the low down revs ie supercharger and turbo charger for the too end !!! Anyone tried with any success or is it just a bad idea ?

its possible yes but it creates massive temparatures in the block. i had the ibiza cupra with the 1.4tsi engine ( twincharged ) and they get very hot and is a possible contributing factor to their misfiring issues amonst other things. i could be totally wrong as i only have a limited knowledge on the tuning side if things. when it works though it is a right hoot !!

Also been done on a 1.8t Golf. Not a Subaru I know, but it shows it has been to a car that didn't come from the factory with it.

Given a blank cheque anything is possible, but the added complexity isn't ideal.

IMHO

P.S. A better option might be Variable Vane Turbo technology.
