Thumbs up Tonight's Top Gear

lol at the Blue Impreza rinsing James' DBS.

Would be interesting to see how some of the modified cars on here would stack up against some of the finest super-exotica, at least in a straight line

No no, they are certainly *****, but the kind you can't help to like. Godbless the BBC for sending them over to America, I can imagine most people who came accross them just didn't get it.

The Golden Age of motor manufacture has now passed unfortunately.

That's why these (modded) 8 to 18 year old fast Jap cars can wipe the floor with the exotic machinery.

They should have mentioned Scoobies as well, although they would call it a 'Subie' on that side of the pond.

That did make me smile.

Is there a list on the web somewhere of production car 1/4 mile times?

There was a clk (I think) black at Santa pod last year and was struggling to get under 14.5 seconds as he couldn't get it off the line, I felt quite smug with my time of 13.7
