Fitting hid in my blob was the worst thing i did for light output!! as there is no H1R bulb type out yet you have to fit bulbs designed for projectors that give off an immense amount off glare so you have to have your lights set to 3 on the adjuster so you dont dazzle oncoming traffic but the look of them are good if thats what your after

Yeah, looking at xenon projectors. Seen a few kits on previous posts, but nothing recently. Just wondering if these worked and what people suggest is the best kit these days?

You could look at something like the retro fit source in the USA, that's where my projectors came from, complete kits, projectors, bulbs, ballasts and wiring, £240 or so delivered.

Remember to order for a RHD vehicle.

And BTW, there is no difference between HID and Xenon. I know some people insist that Xenons are OE and HID are retrofit, but they are one and the same thing......a burner, rather than a "bulb" that works by a High Intensity Discharge, hence HID, through a vacuum containing some Xenon gas at very low pressure.

Aren't the JDM Blobs xenon?

I'm sure I'd seen some JDM lights for sale on eBay and were advertised as proper factory xenons.

I'm sure I read that the loom is different, so needs rewiring - but other than that it sounds like an easy upgrade.

Have a look here: https://www.scoobynet.com/technical-...mpler-way.html

Takes about half a day to do properly, but NOTHING on there is actually difficult, just some of it takes time.

Mine are the Morimoto Minis from www.theretrofitsource.com

If you email them, you get a quick response, they will be able to answer any queries, but IF you order, make SURE to order for RHD.

Some are HID, mine came from a 2005 JDM STi, though I had to purchase an engine bay loom so I could cut off of the correct loom connectors to match up the lights, because my car WAS a JDM bug that I facelifted.

They're OEM and not projector.

JDM STI blobeyes are xenons, you can pick them up on eBay for £250.

Best investment you will ever make.
