Mapped on RR, tested on the road and then tweaked as needed. RR again if needed after the road test tweaks.

If a private runway is available, then road mapping on there for sure

It's best RR mapped & then the map checked & tweaked on the road.

I would have mine done on the road. Where else will the car be driven?

The best mapping has to be done on the Swindon bypass

Mine has always been road mapped, but it's not for evryone. Bob maps my car while I drive which I'm happy with, but I know some people feel it's not safe & worry about how legal it is.

I agree a road map is best but there comes a point with the power that its just not safe or practical. Anything around or over 450 will involve speeds in excess of 100mph really and if you are per gear boost mapping then you pretty much need to max speed the car!

+1 for road mapping. Specifically Bob Rawle.

Ive spent a fair amount of time mapping my own and Customers cars, rolling road mapping is my prefernce, with a road run to check everything after. If nothing else it's blooming dangerous mapping on the road.
As Graham (enginemapper) does all my mapping, I/He/We have a good idea what set up should do what and when your on the dyno you can see straight away if somethings not working right.

RR mapped and checked on the road seems to be the norm, especially if its a high powered car as most mappers wont attempt to map a seriousley fast car on the road alone,as its difficult and dangerous.
