Default Should I buy a quick shifter?

Hi.

I've recently got a 99 Classic T2000 after about 15 years of wanting an Impreza (first drove one when I was 17).

Anyhow the car is great and loving it, while browsing the web I found these:

http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog...oducts_id=1870

http://www.japspeed.co.uk/Subaru-Imp...r/p-23-75-405/

And also read there a B&M one too.

I've never owned a car that I could buy an off the shelf quick shifter before. What's the general consensus on the ones for the Impreza? Should I?

If it sounds like a sensible mod, are any of the quick shifters better than others?

Thanks.

I purchased a cheap one off ebay, from memory it was circa £30. I then added Alyn's (AS performance) uprated gear shifter bush kit (circa £70). The two together made a huge difference to throw and feel.

Was that on the V3 STi Matty? I can't make my mind up whether it's worth doing to mine or not?

Yes it was on my V3 buddy.
Have a chat with Alyn about his bush kit as its a little more involved on a classic.

If your ever in the area your more than welcome to come feel my stick :-)

B&M is a decent bit of kit, will make a noticable difference.
