Yep, got mine yesterday. I was a bit surprised to receive it, having had the video and brochure previously, after the cars were delayed from their initial delivery dates. It did seem a little over the top just to tell me there were discounts available for the P Style goodies. Would be far nicer if they sent us all a free P Style Umbrella, or better still a P Style All-Weather Jacket.

Neil,
The yellow scoob ended up being sold to The Car People of Leeds, they have since sold it on for circa £20k I beleive, it was one of those "wished I hadn't bought it" things that gave me no end of problems that the supplying dealer didn't want to know about, confidence lost I got rid, had a break, tried a few other motors but had to return but this time slightly wiser (if not poorer!)

My interpretation of what they've done.

All the P1's are as good as sold and they're now lumbered with a ton of promotional material. What better to do than send it to everyone who bought a P1 and make it look like a thankyou gesture.

As for the reduction on the P-Style stuff, it's horrifically overpriced and they're stuck with that as well. Wait a while and they'll reduce the price even further.

Got my P1 last August. Package about 2 months later. Video is embarrassing - Prodrive may assemble a good car, but the video is crap.

Car's done 7.5k now and just gets better all the time .

Got my pack in January last year, and haven't had a new one yet. Spent all those months being sad and replaying the scene where they lower the car out of the truck and you can hear the meaty exhaust as it pulls away. I need to get out more...
I think a free jacket sounds good to me....

Same here
I'll sign your petition Greg.
However, I wouldn't hold up much hope of getting a free P1 Jacket even though it would be a nice gesture....

Yeah.......I'll sign your petition - nothing ventured, nothing gained !
Who do we approach - Subaru UK or Prodrive ?
I'd be happy to talk to them.....

p1 media......(and everyone else)..
I'll give Subaru a phone and put it to them & tell them to expect a petition for a jacket for *p1 owners*.....I'll post back with what they say

Gastro

PS - if they offered a very significant discount on the jacket - say 50% - would people be interested ???

Sounds cool at 50% although FREE would be better.... do ya think anyone from Subaru reads this BBS ??

Or does a mass petition sound like more fun ? hasnt that guy with the curly hair from top gear got a P1 ??? wonder if he's got his FREE jacket yet ?

Hi Mellow,

remember me? Thought you would :-D How have you been? You dissapeared towards the end of last year, I missed ya.

Anyway, you'll be pleased to know that the constant jibes have worked and I've finally seen the light! Yes, I've sold the Evo and my P1 arrives on Friday..

Good to see you're back again..

I've only seen two people wearing P1 leather jackets, and they were the sales guy's at my dealer.... I bet they didn't pay full price for them either.

Haven't had the pack yet, probably don't know where Scotland is.

I'd be interested in anything half price!!

Martin,
Hi matey, good to hear from you. Was out of the UK for a while and only recently returned and decided to go for a new P1 b4 they all go. Funny though, I took an Evo Extreme out for a test and just could'nt warm to it, a wicked car though, can't put a real reason behind it other that I prefered the scoob (as long as it wasn't bloody yellow eh ). What was the main reason for you parting with yours then ? You sound similar to me, get bored quickly, change the car and OK for a while ! You'll love the P1, colour, looks, drive etc...I've had mine a week and have clocked up 700 miles already. Are you going to Castle Coob in May ? should be a good day, see the national events board.
Spk soon.
regards
Chris
