What year is the S3?

Mileage shouldn't be an issue if its been looked after but apart form slightly better fuel economy the car is not a patch on your blob.( I know ive owned both )

I wouldn't touch a car with those miles. Cars like that have been hammered don't care what anyone says. And 4k sounds about right for WRX even with ppp and low miles.

Ive seen some right dogs of cars with less than 50k on them.

My blob has 126k on it and apart from brakes, tyres and an up pipe is 100% original. Its as tight and sharp as it ever was and drinks no oil.

It really does depend on how its been treated.

i was looking at wrx's for ages and 4 grand will get you an 03/53 plate with 80/95k from a dealer, so a low miler 55 plate is worth 5k/5.5k imo

can you show me these for sale with the milage this one has on it please with full history i do know that they can vary in price alot i know the extras do not add a value but its also just had new brakes and got the single din head unit (alpine) with bluetooth i/pod conection and new speakers fitted in it (factory fit) apart from the speakers.
4k just seems a bit too cheap.

Here's one, up for £4495, and at a dealer so presumably with warranty. Ok no PPP but slightly lower mileage. Presumably with negotiation obtainable for near enough £4k

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMP...ht_1213wt_1271

There are plenty of cars for sale for £5-6K but they are exactly that - for sale and unsold.

I appreciate some people would pay more for peace of mind from a dealer but that warranty / tax / mot / service is only added on to the price.

Its sad I know but on a car that was circa £20k new, a value of about £4k when 7 years old sounds about right to me.

Stupidly low of course, but this is obviously how the trade value them and to be fair he did ask for a PX value.
