I/C Spray Water bottle
Hi,
Just a thought, but during this hot and humid weather, would it be an idea to chuck 10 or 12 ice cubes into my I/C spray water bottle?
Or would really cold water be a bit of a shock for the TMIC?

I have built a custom system for my FMIC and have managed a 4 degree drop (using accurate testing/data) with my first couple of incarnations. I think I could get around a 6-8 degree drop by using fluid other than water and further improving the nozzle location and spray pattern.
I am not sure how much an 6-8 degree drop in ICT would help in regards to retarding ignition timing but I think there is something to intercooler spray/cooling. I am sure the F1 teams used it when they ran turbos...

Seriously though, something alchol based or meths ect.. would keep the temps a little lower. Although you dont want to be using a high concentrate otherwise you are potentially thowing a flammable onto your hot engine.

hmm interesting. I'm just about to fit a spec C bottle in my boot, and i'm sure the pump looks bigger to the stick unit. I wonder if the Spec C spray system is more effective than the one that i'm running at the moment ?
I am using the pump that normally diverts water to the headlights. I find the pressure OK with the nozzles I use. I am currently only using 2, one either side spraying horizontally but I am going to fit a further 3 (one aimed vertically) and use another fluid or mix of something.
Ive found this upgrade for the oem IC spray to increase the amount of water that gets sprayed onto the intercooler. As has already been said the oem spray is weak, sprays a fraction of the intercooler and doesnt seem all that affective. Group buy anyone?
