hi i brought my blobeye wrx a couple of months ago, i was told it had a vf 40 turbo and 800 injectors, i took it on a rolling road and it has 288 bhp..

modifications i know it has are a decat down pipe, apexi induction kit, a uprated sti top mount intercooler and a miltec 3 inch exhaust..

would this be the correct bhp with these modifications and is there an easy way i can check wat turbo and injectors i have with out having to take parts of the engine off???

yeah i know thats why i wanna check, i have paper work for everything apart from the turbo n injectors. any ideas??

 

With those mods you should be making above 300bhp(would say 330bhp+),not below 300bhp

Without the removing the turbo,you will never know what turbo you are running,you can remove heath shield and Top mount and check,about the injectors,is possible sent them for testing and they will tell you what injectors you are running.

What colour of injectors you have?

What did the chap say about the car when it was dynoed ??

VF40 is a legacy turbo I believe. Wouldn't of thought you'd have 800cc injectors either.
No mention of a remap in your spec list either

if it did have the standard td04 turbo n standard injectors would this be about the right bhp??

 

yeah m8 a td04 well mapped would prob be about that figure i dont think you get much more from them. from what ive read its about 280 so its doing well at that figure if its an 04

 

ok cool thanks m8 thats wat i thought!! wat would be the best turbo to take it to about 350 bhp ive been looking at the td05-18g and the sc38 billet 18g or something else if anyone recomends one.

But if you have WRX injectors,these can be re-flowed and matched and you can have 840cc

From TD04 get 288bhp is possible,if I seen just few break 280bhp mark

About the best turbo for 350bhp,VF34 or SC36 these two turbo will be mine choice,but still think VF34 will be amazing on the WRX,we are run before and we are made 350bhp

ok cool thanks mate!! the VF34 sounds the way forward!! would i need any other modifications to go with that?? and would i need 550 pink injectors to go with this or if i do have standard injectors would they be ok???

 

std WRX injectors will struggle at much abopve 300...........
