Default Whats the best way to sell a scooby?

Hi All,

Apologies if I am not allowed to post about selling, but I just wanted some advice on the best ways to sell. I have never sold a car before and obviously I want the best money I can get for it, but I also want a driver who will look after it.

How have you sold yours in the past?

Any recommendations welcome

First off i would say it depends what model it is, is it a specialist car or a popular model? Specialist models such as a P1 or RB320 are probably best kept to adverts on Pistonheads and the forums to stop unwanted canvassers and you will be targeting an audience that know what they are looking for - so getting the 'proper' price should be more achievable.

Or if you are in a quick rush to get funds then eBay or autotrader (expensive) are your best bets. You will get timewasters and stupid questions/offers but invariably your advert will get a lot of interest.

Or just strip it for parts as that seems to be the latest trend for perfectly good cars :-(
