I bet this has happened to bugeye owners...
Spent 2 hours this evening with a scooby mate trying to work out why my key fob had suddenly stopped working, whilst trying not to freak out as only had car 2 weeks
Just been to restaurant with my best mate and she was like don't worry all will be ok...
Changed battery in fob. Didn't work
He took me home (luckily only 2 miles away) and got my spare keys. Didn't work.
Sat in car for a while playing with manual and keys. Didn't work.
Suddenly he leapt out of car and said 'Push the car to other side of car park', so we did. Lo and behold, my keys started working again!!
Moral of the story: I won't park in direct signal of a police antenna. Or I won't go to that restaurant ever again lol.

Hi!
Yes, this has happened to me on my bugeye a couple of times on the same high street at which point I put 2 and 2 together!!!
If you lift the bonnet and hold the fob to the left of the intercooler it'll work after a few pushes!!
Bloody things........

Usual cause is RF interference from the likes of mobile telephone towers. My clifford alarm fob became inactive at home but away from home worked fine. turned out a button on a RF remote control was being pressed by something jamming the signal.
Lol one of the guys worked down the port had the same problem with his bug.... Luckily I have not experienced this.............yet :-)

From: family life is superb but i MISS my scoob!!
had this happen on my old blob eye after shopping at lakeside. Had the AA man towing me all round the car park with no joy. So onto the back of his low loader and 2 mins down the road all good. But because he had loaded me onto his truck he couldnt let my car off in a lay by so had to take me all the way home!
I get this problem at the local asda it has a big mobile phone mast opposite what i do is unlock the car with the key get in and shut the door then lock and unlock it with the fob. It seems to work fine from inside the car.
Changing your PIN using a working Key Fob:
- Arm and then Disarm the system using a working Radio Key.
- Within 30 seconds of disarming, type into the keypad: *17856*92*wxyz*wxyz# (where wxyz is your new PIN code)
- Arm the system with the Radio Key
- You should now be able to disarm the system using the new PIN code.

Car almost done it to me again tonight at petrol station (which I've been twice before and had no problem) so going to get both sets of keys' batteries changed and reset my PIN code, thanks Don Clark
