I am fed up with waving at all these Scoobs and getting nothing back. Either no one in Bristol is a member on here or they are just embarrassed at a woman waving at them, or just plain ignorant. (Except the few I meet up with, I'm sure they would wave to me if I saw them).

Reading this BBS, it seems that all of you are generally very friendly.

I'm from East Sussex but travel down to the West country to see family quite often. I'm waiting for delivery of a new Scoob at the mo and when I pick it up if i'm down that way i'll look out for you.

I have a picture in my mind now of all these male drivers not waving back for fear of a clobber round the back of the head from their girlfriends/wives etc.

I live in Northants and most of the other scoobs in northants don`t wave back either. I have had the odd one or two but not many. Most of them being blokes that don`t wave back.

Bob has let me write this mail to you, (he's so good to me) When Bob takes me out in OUR car and we see other Scoobys we both wave franticly. Most the time we get waves back as Bob tends to drive at them and they just cannot miss seeing us. Hope to see you one day and I will give you a wave. You never know he might take me across the moors with you all one day.

I try and wave at everyone, foresters (strangly never got a wave back), sports, turbos, I even waved at the first MY01 I spotted but I was a passenger in my dads car at the time, I think he thought why is that guy waving at me .

Respect to women who own/drive imprezas as most women I knwo dont seem to appreciated them - too noisy, too fast, too expensive to run, and the normal question "Why dont you buy a BMW or a Mercedes or a Porsche" - AAAHHH!!!!!

I always wave at everyone in Hull in a Scoob, even though everyone does not wave back.

Thanks for all your comments and waves, I'm beginning to feel I'm in a real friendly place now.

I know a lot of women are not interested in cars, but I actually chose the one we have got and I like it very much. I do look after it, I fill it up, I take it for service and all the other bits. The only thing I don't do is wash/polish it very often (it is never dirty when I come to wash it, as Paul always beats me to it).

From my limited experience of the place it just seems that the average scoob owner in Bristol doesn't wave back!

All the old style scoobs i see these days wave or flash back to me whenever i see them.

However, I have seen quite a few new style scoobs going about and haven't had a single wave or flash of lights from any of them. I guess you just can't feel the love anymore
