Simple test to check if clutch is slipping/on way out?

Anyone have any suggestions on how to tell if my clutch is slipping or on its way out? It is an organic exedy clutch fit less than 3k miles ago.

The reason I ask is all of a sudden there is the distinctive smell of clutch every time I go out now and it even wafts in when moving and wont go away even after a long run. Now I've tried your suggestion and the rev's match the increase in speed and when the car is stationary and in 1st with the handbrake on if I let out the clutch pedal the engine dies. The clutch bites at the very top of the pedal. It also always juddered in 1st and reverse if you didnt feed any rev's in, now the judder occurs even with rev's and can effect 2nd gear if you change up early. Reverse has now started to be awkward to engage sometimes taking several dips of the clutch pedal in neutral before trying reverse or pushing through the resistance. Any thoughts guys??
Rev needle rate of increase should match speedo rate of increase. It's dead obvious when a clutch goes - notrmally you'll hear the engine rev really fast, and the car won't be seeming to accelerate at all - rev needle will shoot up the dial with no increase in speed.
If it's a strong clutch fitted 3K ago I'd expect it to last many years yet.

If you can pull away from stationary in 3rd gear, its not a good sign.
There are a lot of counterfeit Exedy clutches about. Do some check with the supplier. I beleive there are official exedy stockists.

I too may have clutch slipping, but only above 3k revs to 4k when accelerating hard, the revs slighty pick up then dip back down.
This could be the start of the clutch wearing out?
I did the stationary in 3rd gear and it stouled, so if thats a good way of testing a clutch god knows, like I said maybe mines in the early stages of wear?
