There are a lot of challenges to overcome:-
1. How to make it start, how to get the key out (as there will be no N or P position;
2. How to make the reverse lights work (no R position);
3. How to make the speedo work (different speed signal between MT and AT cars).
The speedo issue cannot be overcome, so you'll need an auxillary unit. Othr probs should be ok.
You will need to leave the TCU on the car as the ECU won't function properly without it, however you may still have a 95% throttle misfire. ABS should be operational.
Simplest option is to first change the ATF in your autobox and see how things go. If you still see an issue, I would recommend a rebuild.

cheers all.
Seems a lot too do.
Didn't realize that you would need to change diffs too to match the manual box.
better to look for an auto box then and just keep it simple.
One thing REXGUY, whats the ATF.
