Totally gutted
Just received my new set of 18" alloys off delivery truck unwrapped them and 2 big dents on the nice polished edge.Had to have day off work to wait in for them aswell totally gutted
.
Hope theyll replace it!
dunno the official side of this but I thought you could claim off the courier's insurance (might have to be via the shop / dealer) and you'd have to have a good idea if the dings were done in transit (same damage on box etc) or they were done beforehand.
I knew of someone who sent an old projector for service, got a call from company doing it to say it was unrepairable as it was trashed and they managed to get a brand new one via courier's insurance (approx 2K new replacement for something worth about couple of hundred)
another thing - aren't you supposed to write "received unchecked" on the courier's clipboard thingy when you sign for things as they can say that you accepted the goods in working order if you hadn't added the phrase on if it comes to a dispute?

reject them and advice the supplier in writing that they are damaged. Ask for them to be replaced. When the new wheels come ensure that the old ones are returned at the same time. Make sure that you include original packaging and ensure that you wrap them up well.
i would return the goods, if they are adamant that they sent them in A1 quality then the fault rests with the shipper.
This sort of thing riles me, they think they can send us second rate stuff, and hope we wont complain.
STAND YOUR GROUND, send it back (make them pay for the return postage),be polite but firm (don’t loose your temper with them on the phone)
There are loads of stuff on consumer rights on the net
