Hiya there Ive sent my heads of to be skimmed today i would like to know what mm ect heads are standerd so i know how much has been tooken of ??

my heads are out or a S-reg Wrx 1998

I think there standerd heads...

Also this would help me alot if i knew what mm hg to use i have a set of 1.6mm brand new gaskets will these be ok ?

0.6mm is standard size. If they take 1mm off then your 1.6mm will be spot on. Ask them how much they have taken off to give you a guide.

You will know if you have the right size when you go to bolt your inlet manifold down. If you have the wrong size the bolt holes won't line up!

 

were they warped or did you do it just for a clean up, i think they usually take about 20 thou off which is nearly 0.5mm, obviously more if needed

 

My head gasket went, I'm not sure which side but he did say one head was thinner than the other, he has took of 0.2mm of both heads... My question is what mm are heads standerd? So then I can find out how much have been took off
