Scooby Newbie
Well, that wasn't a good start at all.
I just wrote quite a nice bit introducing myself, and my scooby story, pressed submit, and it said I wasn't logged in and I lost my message.
How annoying!!!
Anyways, I have a 2002 WRX that I've had since last summer and I've only put 1937 miles on it, as I have since been made redundant and I have no work.
That was the long and short of my thread, and of course I was saying how much I'd enjoyed going through the forums for the last couple of hours, and to say 'Hi'

Ah yes, piccies, let me have a go and see if I can get one on......
Oh. I need to have them hosted on the net, so I'll get onto that.
I assume that photobucket is the most popular?

I am slightly confused with it because I thought it was standard, but it has a prodrive exhaust (well, backbox at least) on it, and I thought they were only on STI's as standard?
prodrive exhaust was part of the ppp kit
prodrive performance pack was exhaust, remap and one of the 2 cats removed so giving a slight bhp increase.
maybe your car has this or someone has fitted the exhaust.
i have it fitted to my car and have a certificate to prove its fitted. check your paperwork.

But obviously someone could have fitted that aftermarket......just not sure why the dealer said it was standard. And I'm also curious to find out what other goodies it has hidden......
Well I got beaten by an FQ320 a few weeks back, so there can't be many performance mods if any lol, but I think the handling has been 'tweaked with', as it can be very twitchy in the damp/wet
it could have uprated arbs but looking at the car i would be very suprised.
i would imagine you did get beaten by an evo fq, its a standard bug wrx, the ride height is still very high so i doubt it has had suspension mods, it hasnt got coilovers fitted or lowering springs.

lolBut standard is fine with me at the minute. Think it's the best way to start the Scoobie learning curve
Would love to, but I would need some investment lol.
I'm going to start researching ECU protocols and see what geeky bits I can do. I've always fancied an in-car management system
Also like the idea of it looking completely standard, but all sorts of trickery under the surface

but the bug really isnt the best looking of scoobs especially in wrx form.
i would at least change the wheels and try to sort the ride height out a little.
Definately the best colour, especially for the marmite topic graphics as on the original WRC .
Each to their own with their own opinions on mods etc I have a Bug in blue with WRC replica kit and absolutely love it as do many others 😉

I do like the colour, and I think its one of the best IMO. Just wish my sideskirts were matching lol
