Mine lights up in white with the headlights off, then turns green when you turn the headlights on.

All 3 of mine do the same and then go through about 4 colours when you turn the ignition off.

Colour depends on how they are wired.
Prosport steppers are either green/white or orange/white
with a red warning flash.

Is it easy to change? Not saying I would as the dash lights are also green, but would be useful to know.

Cheers everyone
have to say the previous wiring was so shoddy, live wire just hanging loosely down near the steering column with bit of crappy tape on the end and also some numpty had earthed the gauge off the door hinge

To keep it green all the time, just dont wire it to the wire that dims the light on the clock

If you look at the instructions it will tell you red is permanent live. Black earth. then there is an amber and a white.
One goes to to accessory so the gauge powers up when ignition is on and the other goes to the wire that dims the clock if you leave it disconnected it will stay green if you connect it it will be white with lights off and green with them on and the dimmer switch on the stalk will change colour from green to white when lights on

Is it worth replacing the silicone hose or is the factory one good enough?
