It's had work done at Scoobyclinic, you could try asking them.

The advert says it still reads in KM.
I was under the impression it was law that the car must read in mph to get an MOT and road leagl once imported, unless it had a moody one.

We have seen this car it's got the very rare digital climate control mod

From memory it was a nice thing but go and have a look to see what you think.

Cheers

only needs to read in mph to pass an sva or iva as it is now called, cars over 10 years old dont need an iva so if it was imported in the last 3 years no iva would have been needed.

I thought it was part of the SVA test.

Also I've had an MOT guy drive my old car to test the brakes with the old fashioned level thing.

It wont have a quick rack as standard, fast rack yes, quick rack = no, only on the limiteds and version 6's.

Should have been converted but so many dodgy importers who just mot these and then sell them on, if it has not been converted then I would also look to see if there is a rear fog fitted, again common with dodgy MOT'ers and dodgy importers.

No, as above if it's older than 10yrs no need for sva and can read kph, i would also doubt that it needs to have a fog light but not 100% on that as when i did my transporter which is from germany they mot'd it with kph clocks, only thing i had to do was headlights.

Nice looking car, only things that put me off are baily dump valve red calipers and the daft scooby doll near the gear stick, but it has the simtec so at least he got something right.

Cheap at 5k as seems like it's had a few quid spent on it.

One owner from about 5 years ago was/is a member on here, I can't remember his name at the moment. I think his was from Hemel IIRC.

because it has the simtec ect, does this mean it has been set up "correctly" for uk fuel? and would it be a good idea to have parallel lines fitted? my old turbo 2000 blew the engine and i was told this was the cause as there was less fuel to the cylinder closest too the turbo

Mine reads in kph.I asked them to leave it this way because my last import had the face changed but the needle used to get stuck sometimes on the face.
They looked at me a bit funny when I asked this but I figured I'd do a proper clock change somewhere down the line.Everything else was done as it should be.

Can read in mph or kph for mot
Has to be mph for sva or iva as now called
Only cars 10 years old or less when imported need iva

Incorrect, the IVA was brought in to stop the 10 year rule and letting all the crap in, all imported cars now have to have an IVA (since 2009).

Wrong, trust me i know. sva was based on model reports, iva abolished model reports and was based on rules like mot rules.
Worked for an importer until 2011, part of my job was IVA preperation. 10 year rule still applies.

Hmm yes just found that here http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/Trans...tion_Guide.pdf though by 2014 it looks as though it gets stopped?

Anyway, said car above should have been SVA'd if its been in the UK over 5 years.

And from your location, I take it you use to work for Car Planet??
