Further to my earlier bulb thread, PIAA UK today said they are replacing all three bulbs. Situation resolved.

Nice one Dave and PIAA,

I am glad that we don't only hear the bad reports on the BB.

Question

PLEASE don't take this the wrong way....BUT....what happens in 3 months time when they have all blown again?....as you pointed out yourself they don't seem to have a good track record for longevity do they?

Just curious thats all......

Well done Dave - glad you got a result. It's a shame you had to go this far, but if companies won't listen...

As Dr Hu as hinted at - I hope we aren't reading this again in 3 months time...

Question

Dave (and anyone else with PIAA's),

Glad you got it sorted (for now...)

Am I right in thinking that usually PIAA's are mounted to the Front Bumper/Spolier assembly (the plastic bit) by the three bolts that you can see just behind the units? Am I also right in thinking that a lot of the blown bulbs is attributed to the fact that when mounted like this the bulbs are prone to a lot of vibration and therefore give up the ghost much quicker than they should?

If this is the case then let me know 'cos I think that I may have an idea which may help prolong bulb life....

Ta,

Matt.

Wink

Strange...my PIAA's in the MY98 lasted without trouble for 18 months! None of them blew...that was PIAA bulbs in the headlights and also the PIAA driving light spot light conversion

Also fitted PIAA Ice Whites to the P1 last June...again...(touching wood) no problems at al

Just my 22.5 pence worth

Glad to here you had a result from PIAA, it is a shame it took so long for something to be arranged.

(does this mean we can buy from GGR again?)
