Default things needed for a remap on wrx classic

hi guys

stripping my wrx classic over xmas to fit some goodies onto it, being this my 1st time have it mapped, what things should i be looking out for? i've seen replacing fuel pump is a must!, 3 main things i be fitting is a front mount i/c set up, td05 turbo and also de-cated system. aiming for 300/320bhp

any help me great guys thanks

Have a look at injectors as well mate.

best bet is to post a pic of the engine bay. Classic engines vary so much.

id ditch the front mount idea and get a sti topmount for the power your after you wanna keep good spool on the tdo5

Decat and centre section for sale if you are wanting buddy. Also i might be wrong but i think someone advised me about fitting a newage (wrx) intercooler onto my classic when i was looking to do this. Cheaper than front mount (check this out though as it is a dim memory)

Ok I would have said yellow assuming you have a phase 1 or 2. But since you don't know the running gear I'm not sure myself lmaoooo.

which sti top mount should i need? am i right in saying there is a guide on here somewhere?

belife to be a wrx 1997 lump but thats with a wet finger in the air atm

it will need phase 2 injectors which i have a full recon set inc seals,. also i fitted a fmic to my current wrx with a 225pump 440cc injectors, simtek ecu ported td05, ported oe headers, hayward up pipe and i get 1bar of boost at 3,400rpm so dont worry about the front mount / top mount debate,.

so a front mount will be fine? i got my eye on the one i want which i was going to pick up next week (toyo sports one as used them in the pass on my old turbo'ed cars)

people have told me that the top mounts car crap as of the heat gets to them

picking up my fuek pump the weekend and de-cat'ed system monday morning.

That is a V3 or V4 (my97-my98) engine you're running. V1 and V2 were slanted intercoolers. You can tell between V3=4 and V5=6 on how the coil packs are placed and the air inlet pipework is laid out .
