Default Anyone willing to.............

After much dilliberation I am keeping my yellow WRX.
I don't know jack about old cars or tarting them up.
It is not standard at the mo,and not 100% sure until I go to http://www.tdracing.co.uk/ what has been done to it. I would like to tart it up,but as I say I know jack,so is anyone willing to help and advise on what to do to it ?...Of course I am willing to pay for your time on the phone or in person.

depends what you want fella ? styling wise or performance ? budget ? daily driver or weekend toy ? it can get really expensive and one thing will always lead to another !!

if its performance your after then a full decat exhaust system and panel filter are a must along with a remap . thats best bang for your buck really ! dont waste money on dump valves , induction kits etc ! then maybe concentrate on the suspension and brakes to get it handling and stopping sweet .

theres lots of options for suspension ! but if you want to really improve handling then invest in some decent coilovers "bc coilovers" are aparently very good quality and quite affordable . im not keen on ebc yellow stuff pads or ebc in general really !! i have drilled ,grooved discs and red stuff pads on mine and they are pony !! take a look at "godspeed" discs and pads mate . also a company called "white line" that have loads of suspension componants that will improve your car

coilovers are only a small part. ARB's, strut braces, anti lift kit, poly bushes and adjustable drop links will complete the package.

change steering wheel to sti ect
get rid ov that sterio put in a little 7inch screen...
bc/coilovers

Jimmy, I thought money wasnt really an issue for you? yet youre sweating over spending a bag on suspension?

Tell us what your budget is for improving this car and people with work with you on it. Complain about the price of everything and the replies will dry up pretty quick.

you're in for a tough time if thats all you can afford Jim.

What suspension (shocks/springs) are on it at the moment? you said you had a load of reciepts so do a breakdown of what you think the car is likely to have fitted and then people can point you the right way. There are options for people with your budget but youre going to struggle to do high end stuff with that sort of money.

well if you want a hand then i'm only in Melton Mowbray. I have a mate in Leicester who has broken a few Impreza's recently so he might have some bits of interest, especially speakers etc.

I might be popping over on sunday so you could bring it over and have a natter, plus you'll get to see 2x 300+ bhp Impreza's, including Jamies 6 speed Classic.

I work for myself too so have flexibility for time off etc and usually have the odd day to spare. Jamie has the bits but works a lot so weekends are usually his Scooby time. Might have to see if we can rig up a meet the following weekend.

See how you get on sourcing bits for yours and keep us updated with the details on the car once you get it inspected. Then its time to make a shopping list!
