Default fuel pressure reg ?

hi everyone , basically i would like to know the benefits of fitting a fuel pressure regulator and what it does exactly ? thank you for any advice

it will be fitted to a 2002 wrx with the following
. vf34
. 550s
. full de-cat
. walbro f/p
. sti tmic

You have a FPR already as fitted from the factory........the OEM subaru newage one is pretty good and unless you are doing anything exotic your existing one should be OK

...Subaru cut a lot of corners and put the cheapest stuff they could get away with... but for the newage bug at launch they actually put some pretty good stuff on. Forged pistons on the STi, a bloody good STi top mount....and some other bits.

Including a pretty good FPR the classic FPR used to be overwhelmed by a bigger fuel pump but the newage seems to cope LOL

I'd check with the mapper but for those mods it's usually OK
