I'm using these: http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tv...1.4-cable.html
Seem to do the job nicely, 3D Blu Ray and ARC from TV to home cinema all working well.

Unless the V1.4 introduces additional cores (unlikely), then any reasonable HDMI cable will do. HDMI standard are (usually) more to do with the transmission and receiving protocols/hardware at either end than the string in the middle.

Very true, sounds like a blag from a spotty teenager in comet because they get a good bonus from selling monster cables!

for £8 it's surprisingly good quality.
I reckon you could spend £8 on the left over screws for attaching every possible make of TV to the thing .
To the OP - I was waiting for the HDMI Cables to go under £1

As far as I can tell HDMI standards refer to the functions used by the interface,NOT the cable.
Though standard HDMI® or "Type A" has 19 wires, "Type B" will have 29 wires. The latter is targeted for the motion picture industry and other professional applications.
All I can find is that a 'properly certified' Type 1.4 has a twisted pair for ethernet return rather than straight through wiring, the pin-outs are the same.
So it seems all HDMI cables should support all current functionality.

Looks better value.
Well maybe not better value - but it's shiny and looks better
