Waste of money.
I recently was at a garage and the owner demanded the removal of this piece of kit. (EVO VII)
They might sound good but they don't do much for you. Not for £300 anyroad.

OK, I maybe talking out of my Dump Valve , but AFAIK there's no performance gain from fitting one. So, if you think a nice loud ppsssssssssssssssssttttttttt is worth £300, then go for it

Like many of the good mods, there is no easily measurable improvement, or at least none that look impressive. Completely ignoring any sound, use an aftermarket one (well, I only know the HKS one ) for a couple of weeks, then change back to the original. On switching back, it seems to take forever to get power back after changing gear. I'd even go so far as to say that it feels like gear-changes themselves feel quicker - anyway, the reduction in lag between gears is seriously noticeable. In real-life (rather than life spent on a RR ), this does make a difference.
On a side note, I actually removed my HKS one due to 'the car sounds like a bus' type complaints from, well, guess , & am now on the look-out for the re-circulating kit so I can have the advantage of the after-market doobrie without the 'bus' sounds

I'm with nom here. I never would have fitted an aftermarket dump valve but had the opportunity to try one at the w/e. Its a Forge VTA on an MY99 and the difference was unbelievable. Gear changes do seem so much faster and as soon as you are in gear the power is there, no lag or wait for the build up of boost again. If I hadn't tried it back to back I wouldn't have believed the difference!! And it wasn't too loud either.

I have the HKS SS job, it is loud, If I drove it everyda for work then its too loud, but I like it, if I'm giving it some it screams, very rally car like.
