Default Bugeye STI Type UK Prodrive

Off to view one of these this week, supposedly running 360bhp.

Whats the differences between the Prodrive and a standard STI?
Am I right in thinking these are 6spd? DCCD?

Does £6000 sound about right? Its done roughly 90000 and looks very well looked after.

Thanks

Yes 6 speed non DCCD, £6k sounds okay depending on condition.

Prodrive editions came with different front bumper, skirts, grill and dials.

The clue is in the name "Prodrive Style"....as mentioned it's a styling package only ....clocks, grille, bumper, skirts, spoiler. As it was fitted before registration it should be on the V5. It may or may not have PPP. Black ones are the rarest and cost a little bit more

Do all prodrive bugs have the prodrive bumper? I was under the impression the ecu and exhaust was standard ppp then the bumper ect was another prodrive option?

I'm considering buying a bug sti prodrive but I would want the 305bhp version with the bumper

The car in question is the "MY02 WRX STi Type UK Prodrive Style" and had the prodrive styling package fitted by Prodrive here in the UK which included the bumper as mentioned.

Any other Bug STi has the normal bumper unles someone has fitted a prodrive style bumper later.

The Prodrive performance pack (PPP)which can be fitted to any bug WRX / STi is completely seperate from the styling package. The PPP lifts power to apporox 305PS.

In that case you will be looking for an STI Type UK Prodrive Style WITH PPP (which someone has had fitted after)

ohh you getting a bit confused
they made two STI type uk
the standard sti and the Prodrive style sti (the one with the prodrive bumper and cosmetic changes (no power changes)

there was a PPP pack that you could buy and fit to any STI/wrx not prodrive specific and not a factory fitted option. this took the sti form 265bhp (about ) to around the 305bhp mark . you could own the car a few years then take it in and then get this fitted this was the performance pack that they put together exhaust ECU etc.

im so sad i baught the origanal STI release brocure off the internet lol i will scan the page

lol I think I am getting it now!!

One I am looking at has the Prodrive bumper and has a prodrive exhaust. The owner says he has a prodrive certificate.

With it having the exhaust, bumper and certificate that I know of would this be the 305 model?

The bumper is purely cosmetic and means nothing in respect of having the PPP fitted. The certificate should relate to fitting the PPP to the car bringing it to around 305 PS..

Any link to the sale ?

And a PPP kit is worth nothing when a good re-map will get you a further 30 bhp...

The one I'm looking at has apparently 360bhp so not fussed if it has PPP or not ;-).
What sort of mods should it have fitted to make this sort of power? From looking at the pictures it looks to have a Hyperflow TMIC.

Tubular manifold and an FPR would get you there on a good day !

I would have thought at 360 it must have had a turbo change. Very few vf35 turbos make more than 340

Ah ok cheers. Has a whole stack of receipts so I'll keep an eye out for a turbo change.
Thanks for all the input guys, I don't know a great deal about these power levels so it's always good to know what to keep an eye out for :-)

now that i have finished my bugeye project i might start thinking about selling if you are interested full spec in my garage but the power graph is no longer current as map was tweaked today and power is around 360-370.
