wrx 2.5 gearbox what bhp/lbs are you running
hi guys i am looking at putting a new turbo on my wrx hawkeye which is already running aprox 275bhp/350lbs .. what are you guys running on a standard 5 speed box and how long have you been running it ?????????????????

350 bhp/340lb/ft running it now for 16 months

I was running around 330 bhp, on standard clutch with vf43 and the clutch started slipping, car had fsh and 43k.
Duncan (racedynamix) had to keep the boost to 1.6 bar due to the clutch slipping so maybe factor that into your modding costs!
Also the clutch in the 2006 onwards wrx is a push clutch instead of a pull clutch!

i ran 355 bhp on my hawkeye wrx sl ,vf43,l/c but it was the front diff that went .
so save any probs just went 6spd

Yes standard Clutch and yes Standard box, no issues with my either.

thats good to know i will be happy with 340/340 . from what i gather from duncan all i need to reach that is a new turbo as wrx tmic should cope with those figures

Running 334bhp and 381lb/ft torque on mine with 1.35 bar on a VF48. Running for couple mo the now no issues on standard clutch.

how many gearboxes has he eaten? ive heard the wrx box will give up at 350ish ft/lbs

None yet car has done around 40,000 miles and is driven hard, that will be the 5 speed from a 2.0. the 2.5 wrx box is stronger if i recall
