Default Swap, sell or keep?

Planning on a couple of simple mods on the hawk

1) change rear lights for some blob ones
2) remove sti spoiler

Not sure whether to swap the lights with someone wanting the lexis style ones (which are worth more), sell them off or keep if I ever come to sell the car (not that I plan to) but you never know.

With spoiler its an original sti carbon fibre job but I want to go for the clean spoiler less look. Once again i.m nit sure whether it would be worth selling it on or keeping it for the future. Also I'm not sure whether a new boot lid or a fill and spray job would be the best option? What do you guys think?

Did STi make a carbon fibre spoiler apart from the S202 and the like... pic would be nice.

It's often easier to swap boots over, your STi one (if its an OEM boot should have 12 holes IIRC, a WRX one will have 4 and much easier to fill LOL

The Hawk's rear lights are a bit blingy Lexus-like IMO. Much prefer the Blob's, so I'd change 'em for sure.

Sell the carbon one and get good cash for it, then refit a regular STi one colour coded to your car. Impreza's need high level spoilers like a tramp needs Special Brew, IMO. Spoilers are good.

Or you can just colour-code the carbon one (which would seem a shame).

Get blob lights much better. However, no-one will pay over £60-80 for the abominations you're replacing. Been there done that, no-one likes the lexarse ones unfortunately

Did you buy Stu's WRX ? if so same colour

£60-80 for the pair? Thought they might fetch a little more? Will be in a few weeks all being well.

No spoiler at all, been there done that with my 05 sti and 04 wrx previously, really love the wingless look on the hawks but will prob want the smaller a line lip spoiler.

Wrx lid so will have 4 holes. Will be cheaper getting the holes filled and sprayed rather than paying for a new boot lid and then a respray?

I've got hawk back lights in mine (silver car) they do look a bit naf really but I like them some days then hate them the next, I think it depends on what colour car they are on I think they look awful on darker colour cars. And some I have seen are not like mine, mine have dark grey inserts behind the lense but most I've seen were chrome did this change with the colour of the car ?
Anyone know how much the main dealer charges for new blob ones ? As I am thinking of buying new coz the sec hand ones I've seen have not been in very good condition.

Good mod to perform, however the lights you're taking of are not sought after.
Spoilerless or subtle spoiler is good

I think I'm just gonna wait to find someone who wants to do a straight swap.

I bought 2 sets second hand on the promise of being 'mint' and they were both damaged in someway. Even small scratches annoy the hell out of me. I bought a set off here last week so I am hoping third time lucky. Failing that I will just buy new

Yeah that's a pi££ take, mint means absolutely no marks or scratches, wish people would be honest, had a similar experience with my blob and alloys. They are a little dear new, so just hope can do a swap with someone who has a genuinely "mint" set.

Sweet, any idea on prices? Can I order from a website or is it a phone call job?

i did a light swap on my old gb270, looks far better. the rear window spoiler is a different ball game as they are screwed onto the roof, meaning you will have to have the holes filled and resprayed. i would keep the roof spoiler personally as it sort of dumbs the car down without one and you may as well have bought a blob eye if you want it to look like one.

Absolutely, i have no intention of removing the roof spoiler as I really like the way it looks. I see yours is colour coded, looks neat.

i have sold the car now so can give an honest opinion of the finish of the hts autos spoiler
:**** absolute ****
looked ok prior to painting but after paint it had so many ripples in the fibreglass or whatever the hell it was made of. i would like to meet the guy who made it as he must have been on crack that day.
it did look nice ( from a distance) though colourcoded the same as the car

Did you ever email them? It's this kind of real customer feedback said companies should listen to. Think the one on the hawk is carbon fibre job.

The standard hawk roof/window spoiler is made from aluminium.
