I don't think they are.. but I would still say £140 is cheap for a backbox. People on here really under price stuff, bringing the values of everything right the way down!

It must just be all forums, I bought my Afterburner from another site for that, and it was mint.

I like the prodrive exhaust, at least you know they are good quality, £140 isnt too bad really, i wouldn't pay more than 150 sec hand though.

I must just be lucky, I bought a Prodrive on here(I think) a few years ago for about £80, and sold it for £70

Does anyone know how much different the prodrive exhausts sound to the standard sti back boxes?
(with both cats still on but resonator taken out)

Cheers

No, if it is a WRX. I think Midlife is the man to answer this.

jgstiporo

The reason yoiu replace the normal cat with a sports cat is to allow the mapper to get the full potential out of the car without the restrictive OEM cat..........no point in replacing the OEM with a sports cat without mapping as nothing happens to the BHP. Spool up is a bit earlier but nothing to write home about LOL.

The big STI might even start to boost spike as the bigger turbo starts to spread it's wings..

I'm going to have to put my Ninja Style Backbox up for sale somewhere ... it's been sat in the garage for 14 months now!!

It really needs to make someone smile instead of gathering dust ... just I've never sold anything on e-bay ... not quite confident on how to do it!!

I think the forum is slightly under in price, but eBay over inflates things when people get into bidding wars

The round tip backboxes are worth more than the WR sport oval backboxes. I sold a mint oval backbox on ebay last year, no reserve, and it only made about 24 quid as I remember!!!!

This thread has annoyed me... I threw my STi ProDrive exhaust away (nothing wrong with it) when I fitted my Blitz, as I thought no one would want it! Ffs!

Bought my vortex off ebay for £50 ,coz the breakers advertised it as a subaru exhaust ,lucky i know my backboxes and offered him £100 to end the auction immediatley,he declined saying he was gonna let the auction run . I wacked in my bid 5 secs from the end of auction and was the only one to bid . I ended up with a mint afterburner vortex for £60.00 posted.

Did I mention it sounds bloody brilliant as well.
