Default WRX to Spec C inlet manifold dilemma!!

Hi there, as above i've swapped my WRX inlet manifold for a spec C to rid me of seized TGV's, my problem is they are slightly different so could anyone enlighten me as to where the vacuum hoses and air switch? go which were situated on the offside on the WRX inlet. A tube connected to a nipple almost right behind the throttle body? Pictures or diagrams would be excellent.

From memory - I'll look later!

You should have a 90 degree bent outlet on the front that goes to the purge valve, two threaded holes on the rear one is PCV other need blanking. I used the one on the passenger side for my FPR and the large one on the rear for brake servo.

IIRC the Spec C manifold also has an extra temp sensor hole which needs blanking off.....now you have spare wiring to fire up AVCS heads should you go that way

Just need to turn off the CEL for now I guess

Default tumbler delete

hi there timthebat.
i hope you know, you should get a remap as soon as you do this avac removall, or only run car gently without going into boost, can damage engine,
please be aware of this,,

get remap asap, the mapper can then remove the cel light function regarding no avac unit in place, and map as req
best of luck, scoobymike

I've got Duncan (racedynamix) coming to tweek my map, I just wanted to make sure he didn't have to waste his time by having to show me where all the tubes with no home have to go!

It's just something I have in the back of my mind that the Spec C had an extra hole for a charge temp sensor......... I might have been dreaming LOL

See post 9

IIRC it's under the throttle body, but at my age the memory is a bit flakey LOL

There is a electrical connector under the throttle body which must be what you're thinking of, but it shouldn't need plugging off?

They're a one piece manifold unlike my wrx one and the sti version (which don't have tgv's) but are still 3 piece manifolds.
