Safe power from a Type-R DCCD box?

From: Swansea.In search of more power!!
Seen a few advertised with 350+bhp and was just wondering how good the boxes would handle that kind of power

Well the box is what? 12-13 years old now?
I've been told one of the worst things you can do on a 5 speed is keep your hand on the gear leaver all the time, it puts strain on the syncro's, though if the torque kills the box you dont normally know anything about it until it happens, normally a catastrophic failure
but these boxes are not as strong as people make them out to be.
