I think it's funny how Sellers leave the most important thing until the end and put a tiny little comment like 'V car' as if a perspective buyer wouldn't notice it or even know what it means.
I would rather see the story as to why the car is a V car.
Was more than likely wrapped because the paintwork was sh*te.

Gotta say it,
Looks awful with the white wheels. Nice rims but wrong colour for a matt black motor.

Wondered why it was so cheap. Even a standard hawkeye STI is around 13k private. What does "V" car mean.. I assume similar to a cat D stolen recovered or write off repair? And they went to all that trouble with mods and didnt map it!! It must drive very rough without a custom map. Not sure the matt black suits the hawkeye, although at least the colour has a good name

Best Answer

VCAR = vehicle condition alert register
V-Car means the car has been an insurance write-off at some point during it's life.

This could through an accident, theft and recovery or flooding.

There are four categories.

Category A (Worst) : Example: a burned out shell, CANNOT be put back on the road.

Category B : Example: Very bad accident damage, car CANNOT be put back on the road but parts can be re-used.

Category C : Example : Severe accident damage, car CAN be put back on the road.

Category D : Example : Theft Recovery/Flooding/minor/moderate accident damage, car CAN be put back on the road.
