Default Please Help Me BEFORE I Go Insane!!!

Hi my husband has just bought a 05 subaru. It has wrx 300 badges on it and most of the stuff listed as being on this model, but how can we be definitely sure it really is a wrx 300 as we do not have a limited edition certificate??

As you can probably tell i know NOTHING!! Please help me!!!

open the bonnet and look for a long number on the top of the strutt (drivers side) (top of the wheel) and please post that on here, we can tell what car it is from this.

The applied model code will be the same as they were standard wrx's which had a make over in the UK, but if its a MY05 WRX300 it should also have the PPP as standard

Hoping to buy one of these in the next month or so. Too many people above getting confused with the UK300.

The PPP was offered as a free install after 1000 miles, so when it was first registered it is just a normal WRX. Thats why you would have to let your insurance company aware that it has the PPP pack, it is recognised by most insurers.

Reckon it is highly unlikely someone would modify a WRX into a WRX300, would be more likely to put STi parts on.

Have told the insurance that its a limited edition. Do you think i need to be more specific with them.
I'm going to assume then that it is a genuine wrx300.
Does anyone know if i can get hold of another certificate for it?? i know its a long shot.

Shaun as it was limited to just 300 will there have been a limited plaque somewhere on the car like the classic sti's used to come with?
