Question

Hi

I'm looking to get some Octane booster in time for Gti International because they have a 1/4 mile strip there and I want to whip some Golfs!

I asking you lot because you probably have more experiance with this stuff than anybody on the S3 forums.

Whats the best gear and where do I get it from? my can run 100 octane fuel.

Thanks in advance

I generally run Millers Octane Plus - it's £3 a tank and should add 2 points to SUL.
NF is another brand, and can be used to create greater octane gains - costs from £2.60 a tank to £13 .
NF can be had from www.scoobyscene.co.uk amongst others, and Millers from www.scoobymania.co.uk and various other places (including ARE in Farnham where you can buy it off the shelf).
Do you still have the cats in your exhaust? If not then there are other products available...

NF is CAT friendly, shot formats are on the way for the easier option.

http://www.are.ltd.uk/findus.html for ARE. They only do Millers though, for NF you'll need to contact Dingy.

Nope, but best not to over do it ie 2 bottle of NF per tank, as it can cause yer filter to need replacing more frequently, but if you follow guide lines you will be ok.

I would have to say NF is the stuff you're after! One can in a full tank should see both a 4 RON improvement and the Golfies left standing! :-)

Dean,I used it in a 1.8T Golf (I know its a different engine, turbo etc) but the car did nowt on it.On a 147 on the other hand shyte flies off the proverbial stick.

other bloke-Millers CVL is for non-cats and Octane Plus for cats

(above advice not be confused for someone who knows what they are talking about)

Using a Whole bottle of NF will give you more than 4 RON.

NF is by far the best proven commercial Octane Boost, this is why we import it, no point selling products that aren't as good as something else on the market.

Next day delivery.

Because of the type of chip I have on my car I think it will do something, I can switch between different fuels and modes.

I have standard unchipped mode
95 Ron Fuel Chipped (which will allow 98 ron fuel)
98 Ron Fuel Chipped (which should stretch to around 100 octane)

I suppose I'll give it a try and see what happens!
