Default Whats the score with bad traders

Hey as you may have gathered I m quite new to the site and was not impressed by a sellers actions. I had agreed to purchase an item from them and thought that was it, only to find a post on the thread later saying it was sold. I know thats life but its a bit off is it not ????

Also I cant find the thread now ?? why !!!!

I am not in the habbit of naming names and dont think its fair at this point to say so but let just say not impressed, I know its 1 of many sellers and users on here but this does not give good first impression and neither does it help on deciding to become a full member..

IB aren't really interested in BUYERS so long as the money keeps coming in.

SELLERS, however are often protected...........

That's an extremely unfair comment to make - we've introduced policies and procedures to help protect people. We've offered hints and tips and are forever removing For Sale and wanted posts from brand new members (so we are actively moderating the forums)

I think he is talking about when there is an issue it gets locked without anyone knowing what the final end result was albeit buyer or seller in the right. No one knows then when it is the trader at fault another member gets done at a later date as there is very little way to know if who you are dealing with is trusted and honest as you lock the threads and let them to continue trading. I can't think.of any in particular off the top of my head and no offense is meant as you guys to a cracking job and I appreciate its a tricky thing to deal with but I do think a section is needed with all traders / regular sellers with some form of pole to leave a positive or negative feedback as very few use the itrader railings. For example I have been on here since 2005 and only have a score of 12 but you think.I have only sold 12 items, I think not I.sold three bits two weeks back and asked once completed could they leave the itrader rating and only one person has. I personal do bot think the itrader thing works we need something else.

in my mind you hadnt agreed a sale, so if someone in the mean time said yes ile have it at asking price and collect or whatever, the seller is clearly going to go for that sale than wait for someone who is still umming and ahhing.

if you wanted it you should have just said I will take it.

I see your point but we had agreed the delivery cost and I had sent a pm saying I ll have them and many hours later he posts that they have been sold. So as far as I am concerned the deal was done...

There is always going to be a different view on this subject but my thread highlights issues that could maybe be looked at such as say fleabay does with there transactions and terms and conditions.

All well and good........except that there are STILL traders out there who are less than honest and when they get named, wham! the thread is gone. If the criticism builds up, it gets locked.

Agreed I noticed that on my last thread every post was valid and true but because it puts that trader in a bad light it was locked

Agree about the trader score too mine should be about 30 now but so many people don't leave it, but there very happy to moan If there have a problem

you ought to look at av forums guidelines for sales on their website, I dont 100% agree with all their rules but they do work that's for sure
