How many litres of fuel left when warning light shows?
Put 51.5 litres in MY99 last night.
Light had been on solid (ie not going on and off again) for about 10-15 miles.
So I would guess approx 10 litres, but I wouldnt risk more than about 25 miles or easyish driving or you really would be risking it!!

Thanks lads,
Just needed to know as the low fuel light came on just as I pulled into the office car park. I could have sworn when I set off from home early this morning that there was enough petrol left and the needle was showing around the 1/4 mark!! Must be careful with my right foot in future or at least ensure that I have enough petrol in the car so I can still enjoy the drive into work!!!
I am 23 miles from home and seeing as I have no cash on me to put any petrol in, I should be able to make it back okay?

I agree, the low fuel warning light can come on very late - particularly if you are doing steady motorway driving.
Last year, I was on the motorway, light came on, but I was about 10 miles off the exit where I wanted to come off. I thought I would be fine, but as I came off the slip road left - pretty quickly I must admit, the damn thing ran out of fuel!
That is not 10L left!
