Blooming tax disc holder!
Is my windscreen the least stickyest thing known to man? I renewed my tax in December and have had problems ever since! My original holder refused to re-stick, no probs i thought, I'll get one of those fancy ally ones. I polished the screen then left the car running with the heater on full blast and after five mins or so stuck on the new holder. No worries for a week or so but that was my lot, every morning I'd get in the car and my tax would be sat on the floor! I took my car into the work shop at work, degreased the screen and the holder, left the heater on again, applied a large amount of 3M refix tape to holder and used heat gun to warm through. This worked fine, for a week or so. Now we get to the amazing part! In my frustration I used some black gaff tape! This was fine, for a week or so! I can't believe it, I've never seen gaff tape beaten by anything! It's currently held on by half a roll of gaff tape, this will hopefully last till monday, I work in a main dealer, hopefully we should have some ordinary holders kicking about!

If you used a glass polish to clean you window i'm not surprised you need to use something that will remove all the silicone type stuff they put in polishes such as a vinegar and water mixture, it should then stick again!!
