my clutch has gone and i need a replacement asap.can anyone tell me what clutch i should go for?

 

Can't tell you specifically, but I can definitely recommend Harvey on here! Very nice chap and a friend of mine had him do everything on a 400/400 build recently!

 

i have contacted harvey before i posted on here but he has only just got back to me.ive used harvey before and value his opinion.he has advised either an exedy organic or act organic so ill be looking into those

 

am running a ap racing organic one, and that will be fine with that bhp/lbft

could be worth looking at a flywheel at the same time?

I spoke to exedy Uk today and they said only a twin plate would cope with that torque level I ran exedy organic in my last impreza at 340/315 and it lasted 5 months.spoke to Harvey and he said exedy organic too.mark at lateral has sn amazing offer on now too so I may be tempted.I have I lightweight flywheel at the moment that will be skimmed before replacing the clutch.

I have an AP organic in my P1 - 485bhp/380ft lb - 5 years so far...

 

I thought Exedy said the limit for their organic clutch was 380lbft?

I'm running 438bhp and 410lbft through mine and it copes fine and has done for nearly 6k at that power level. I'll only look at twin plates once this clutch dies and I up the power to 500ish bhp/lbft

 

I'm surprised on how well the
Exedy organics cope with big bhp.I had one and it went in 5 months or so but Exedy said it could have been down to the fitting.I have seen some Kevlar competition paddle clutches on here.does anyone know what there like?
