I had a Sierra Cossie back in 1987-88. Owning it was a complete nightmare and after 14 months I got rid. Every car thief in the land was trying to steal it, whether it be on the drive at home or in a locked garage (a quiet country village), on the car park at work or anywhere you care to name. They never managed to get the car away in six attempts but the damage to the bodywork each time was horrendous. Are things any different these days ?
Also came with annoyingly harsh engine noise at speed and not a patch on any Impreza I've owned over the past fifteen years.

Seeing that cossie made my heart start racing again ,i owned 2 of these back in the late 80's and have to say it was the best car I have ever owned . Yes every car thief in the west mids was after one ,but for fun ,make no mistake this was a hooligans car.Mine had 270 bhp,low grip rwd & big power meant you were correcting the steering even on the straights lol. Even after all these years still like the look of them and that one looks a minter .

As an ex cossie owner and current blobeye owner i can see the attraction with both.. lovely motors.. i suppose your mate knows how much those things are worth these days? bloody fortunes... check out RS500s on pistonheads.. £30-£40k.. staggering..

looks superb, can't really compare scooby with cossie though as completely different types of car, I have a moonstone 3 door and my my05 jdm sti, and must say they both have advantages and disadvantages, my 3 door is not taxed though till April so looking forward to getting it out. Its defo better on fuel though than the scoob, also due to the nature of the power delivery and rwd is extremely lively, its peaking at 1.7 bar and holding 1.0 bar at the redline, was mapped by Karl Norris as his gunship conversion. Seeing those pictures makes me want to get mine out now, but only a week to wait.

Jesus guys, there are some impressive machines on show in this thread. I remember walking past a brand new D reg Cossie much like the ones above, I must have been 15 (doing the maths). I was amazed at the bore of the exhaust! Funny how things get bigger over time, I have an Afterburner on my WRX that makes it seem like a peashooter now!
Gotta love the Cossies, my fave was in Moonstone Blue, lovely colour.

I was doing work experience, sent by my school to British Gas. I spent every morning sorting cheques on a table the size of a snooker table, and I'd see the Cossie every day when walking to and from the hellhole, and to escape (an hours lunch). I was wondering how I could ever afford such a luxury. Funny thing, I am wondering that right now!

Very nice cars evorach!! The cossie is....Wow! Just Wow!!...

Noticed you have some STI seat covers. Are these the ones from scoobyworld? http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog...oducts_id=1404

If so, how do they serve you? I'm thinking of getting a set.

Evo whats the score on the car then, did you buy it or have you had it forever and looked after her ?

Looks mint, very well kept. Or have you spent time tartin her up.

How many miles as it got ?
