the cat before the turbo 1st cat ? i do still have the 2nd cat fitted and have removed the 3rd

 

Up Pipe NO. Downpipe YES

 

the wrx has a egt sensor in the up pipe so yes, when you decat it, it will throw up a cel light, ways around it are, get mapper to turn it off, stick a resistor on the end or buy a decat up pipe with a hole there for a sensor. just to let you know a remap is very advisable after this mod and don't drive on boost until you have one.

no cel lamp on my 04 wrx when up pipe changed to decat, only on down pipe.
