clutch judder ?

Default clutch judder ?

Alright guys ive not had my scooby very long but ive noticed it gets judder when going slowly sat in traffic ive looked thru the receipts and its had a exedy clutch fitted and light weight flywheel ive searched a few threads on here and it appears quite a few people have had this problem was just wondering if its anything to worry about ??

As long as it is not really bad then no fella,mine has the same set up and is a bit jerky at low rev's/speed.

Very common with earlier 5 speed boxes. What gearbox do you have?

nah its not really bad just a bit of a judder if i try pulling off slowly sat in traffic etc

Just shonky exedy clutches......

I could get mine to behave by slipping the clutch excessively a few times to take the glaze off... It would then be ok for a short while.

Then i think the clutch as got to do with it. AFAIK, Subaru revised the clutch (not sure of the details) alittle from 2003 onwards hoping to solve the judder issue.

Also, do make sure the flywheel gets a resurface when you replace your clutch.

It depends on which version of Exedy clutch it was, as the older Racing version does have a tendency to judder.

The current ones we sell (even the racing ones) don't judder and are really very good.
