Best advice would be to buy it if it Is as clean as you say, next drive it as you may find it is fine as it is and no need to spend any money just for pub talk.
Next pop it to API and speak to David or Simone similar like scoobyclinic clinc, Roger Clark, engine tuner as they all have good reports back on here but API would and is my choice.
Last thing i would consider doing is fitting a set of defi's and a walbro fuel pump along with a remap to uk fuel just to be safe it has nit already been done. If you wanted to extract a little more horses out of it then by all means fit a full decat 3" system I think there's not massive choice for the jdm car but i think the miltek system that gets the best vote but it's not cheap.
Suspension I think you will find is more then ample for day to day use and occasional track day you may want an anti lift kit and updated drop links but think that would do, a pad and disk upgrade to performance friction seem to be the most popular vote rather then fitting new calipers altogether.
Any how good luck and if you get it pop some pictures up

Im here
Exhaust wise, milltek & H&S, you can go 2.5 or 3 inch though you dont really need a 3 inch exhaust for less than 400bhp, the above 2 would be my option as they are both good quality though you pay for it, also not too loud when just cruising around.
Air filter, STI panel filter would be top of my list, excellent peice of kit
(big
to John Felstead for pointing me in that direction
), or a cosworth (both these are service items and need replacing every 2 years), or a k&n or green filter if you dont want a service item, just avoid the no luck filters, horrid bit of kit with naff all filtration.
Mapping... you need it doing when you change the exhaust system, lots to choose from though, depends where you are in the uk and where you want to travel too?
You dont need to but if you did then most go for a walbro 255.
The standard suspension is pretty good, you dont need to go ott on it, springs can take some of the harshness out of the ride, look at eibachs if you want to change.
Go have a chat to Ian@godspeedbrakes (www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk) who can do you a nice 2 peice front brake disc set, either with the ebc blue or the pf z pads, that should keep you going for some time
Where to start with a list
just say where you are in the uk but plenty of places can do your jobs.
Tony

Hi,
Exhaust I would say either Milltek or RCM's system. Panel filter either Cosworth, K&N or STI.
Re-map with the above should see 350bhp/350ft lb. No need to upgrade the fuel pump at this level.
Suspension I would leave and see what you think of it... All I have fitted to mine is a set of EXE-TC fast road coilovers. Have a read of Shaun's thread for a detailed view of the items you've listed.
I've had Hel hoses and Performance Friction front disc's and 'Z' rated front and rear pads fitted to my 2006 Spec C and am very happy with them.
I would recommend RCM from personal experience.

Whoever you use for mapping, just ensure you use a mapper that can support ECUTEK's MEGAROM. It makes a big difference to the cars driveability.

Good advice from Nic and Tony
Sports cat sytem, Panel filter and remap
sorted
Although on suspension front I'd get Prodrive springs over the Eibachs,
Adjustable anti roll bar Front and rear drop links, anti lift kit pucker 4W Geo setup
Goodridge or HEL hoses and get Good quality Brake fluid. there is some cheap @@@@ about and past sell by date, it does have a shelf life
FYI. dot 5.1 will "mix" with dot 3 and dot 4 but you need to flush it out well if using dot 5 which is Silcone based (as "normal" and silicone don't mix)IIRC

Rear drop links are fine .
Get a 3" exhaust with sports cat that way if you want to up the power in future just change the cat.
Panell filter if staying around 400.
Top mount good for 400-420
fuel pump is ok upto 370ish
injectors can do 420 ish with fpr Or get some flowed to 750cc for under £200
ecu is fine .
Suspension and brakes are fine as they are, unless you are a maniac lol
Exhaust you should get for under £500
panel filter £30
Map around £600 inc rolling road
Think thats covered it all

I am not the only one either who has done that, with no issues. Of course I did move to swirl pot and external pump eventually, once I moved to 1200cc injectors.
