Hi folks,

My 2000 Type RA needs a new indicator relay as the indicators are only working every so often. I think the relay is located behind the dash (but i'm not 100%).

Does anyone know if I will have to take the dash out to replace it? Also, any ideas where to source a new relay?

Up under the dash almost behind the speedo you will find the relay - it is attached to some metalwork with a clip.

I had to replace mine with a heavy duty unit for the towing.

It's hard to see and get hold of at the same time, I found mine for the same reason as above by setting the indicators going and feeling which relay was clicking.

 

Thanx for the replies lads, i'll try & locate it tomorrow. Will I need to take the dash to bits or will I be able to reach up from the footwell?

You can reach up, best if you put the seat RIGHT back, backrest back and lie on it upside down, head almost on brake pedal.

Even then, it's hard to see and get hold of at the same time
