hi , all going well , duncan from race dynamix is coming to map my car shortly.

he has specified that i should ideally fit colder plugs ie: ngk pfrb 7

so question is, will the car be safe to map and run for a short while with the hotter standard 6 plugs.

just a bit scared incase it gets too hot and melts the end of plug into chamber.

on the other hand i dont want to fit the colder 7's prior to remap as i dont want to foul them up.

also if it is mapped with the 6's fitted will it still run ok when i change to colder 7's

do pfrb 7 come pre gapped , if not what should they be gapped too ?

obviously duncan is the man to ask as hes doing the mapping , but dont really want to bug him as its still holiday time.

so any help from you guys whos had theyre car mapped and faced this situation would be fantastic.

k and n panel
straight centre and aterburner vortex
ppp 225 pump

 

Can you not just fit the 7's the night/morning before Duncan is due?

Need gapping to, iirc 0.60-0.65mm. In my experience you will need to at least check the gap and adjust if needed.
