I have a W reg UK turbo with an intercooler off a V6 Sti, would i be ok running a VF35 off a new age sti with this set up? any advice appreciated

 

yes as long as your injectors are up to it. What injectors are in a uk turbo, I think your age might have the 440s yellow ones which will be ok, but just check the colour and make sure there not the 380s (grey) iirc...

Not sure the sti intercooler is worth bothering with though, only difference I could see was a extra little lump in the back of it.

 

vf 35 or 34 is a very good upgrade for uk classics

car will need a remap after aswell

becareful buying vf35's make sure if you buy second hand that you double check the exhaust housing as they are prone to cracking

 

As said above give it a good check over,and it will bolt straight on , nothing to be gained by having the sti intercooler as it is only slightly different from the std unit.After a remap with a few more supporting mods (3 port boost solenoid ,decat,exhaust,etc) should see you around 330 - 350 bhp.

 

I had a Vf35 and a Sti8 intercooler fitted to my last car, a MY00 Uk Classic. Great turbo with minimal lag. Steve.
